Potential drowning Ahead

Tomorrows the big day! Launching Mk5 boat Polynesian Outrigger. Drawings & calculations tel me shes going to be awesome & go like a rocket.

Little bit nervous as always

Particularly after launching MK3

Mk3 was my attempt at a super fast racing Kayak - I was planning to do the Hawkesbury Challenge in it - a 100km paddle through the night.

Turns out I'd made the first rowable submarine. Too narrow, too heavy & too....

It actually worked, you had to paddle like stink, but you just couldn't stop moving forward otherwise you'd gracefully go underwater. I blame the boat of course, nothing to do with the 100+kg I plonked on top of it....

See picture below. Looks beautiful, complete piece of rubbish, which is where its ended up, chopped up & sent to the tip.

So I'll keep you posted. Photos to come!
